Molecular and phylogenetic analysis reveals new diversity of Dunaliella salina from hypersaline environments

چکیده

Abstract Twelve hyper-? carotene-producing strains of algae assigned to the genus Dunaliella salina have been isolated from various hypersaline environments in Israel, South Africa, Namibia and Spain. Intron-sizing SSU rDNA phylogenetic analysis these isolates were undertaken using four commonly employed markers for genotyping, LSU rDNA, ITS, rbc L tuf A their application study evaluated. Novel identified analyses shown need clarification on taxonomy . We propose division D. into sub-clades as defined by a robust phylogeny based concatenation genes. This further demonstrates considerable genetic diversity within potential aiding selection prospective economically important strains.

Phylogenetic diversity of methyl-coenzyme M reductase (mcrA) gene and methanogenesis from trimethylamine in hypersaline environments.

Methanogens have been reported in complex microbial communities from hypersaline environments, but little is known about their phylogenetic diversity. In this work, methane concentrations in environmental gas samples were determined while methane production rates were measured in microcosm experiments with competitive and non-competitive substrates. In addition, the phylogenetic diversity of me...

Diversity of halophilic archaea from six hypersaline environments in Turkey.

The diversity of archaeal strains from six hypersaline environments in Turkey was analyzed by comparing their phenotypic characteristics and 16S rDNA sequences. Thirty-three isolates were characterized in terms of their phenotypic properties including morphological and biochemical characteristics, susceptibility to different antibiotics, and total lipid and plasmid contents, and finally compare...

Molecular Characterization and Phylogenetic Analysis of the G6 and G10 Genotypes of Bovine Rotaviruses from Iran

Background and Aims: Rotaviruses are the main cause of gastroenteritis in the young of human and a variety of animals in the world. Rotavirus G6 and G10 are the most prevalent genotypes in cattle worldwide, but are also found in human with possible origination from animals. Materials and Methods: In this work, we have detected the G6 and G10 genotypes of bovine rotaviruses isolated from di...
